Healthcare marketers face a fundamental challenge: they need analytics insights to optimize campaigns and understand visitor behavior, but standard tools like Google Analytics may create compliance risks that could lead to costly settlements.
Recent legal actions, including the $18.7 million Aspen Dental settlement, have highlighted the significant risks healthcare organizations face when using standard analytics tools that inadvertently capture Protected Health Information (PHI).

The Problem We're Solving
Traditional web analytics tools either compromise patient privacy or give you data that's too basic to be useful. Most healthcare organizations end up with analytics that show them traffic numbers but not actionable insights about visitor behavior—all while potentially creating compliance risks.
Current clients of Ours Privacy can safely use Google Analytics 4 or their preferred analytics dashboards in a HIPAA-compliant way through our healthcare customer data platform. The platform is compliant by default, and enables healthcare marketers to redact, rename, hash, or otherwise anonymizes sensitive data before it’s shared. However, we’re often asked whether we offer a native analytics solution, as some healthcare organizations prefer not to use GA4 or any external analytics platform at all.

This release builds on the session replay beta we announced last week, where you can see anonymized, privacy-focused replays of user sessions with timeline markers and event correlation.
Together, Web Analytics and Session Replay will eventually create a complete picture:
Web Analytics will show you the patterns and trends
Session Replay will show you the specific moments and friction points
This combination will give healthcare marketers the insights they need to optimize campaigns and improve conversion flows—all while maintaining the privacy standards your organization requires.
What's Next
We're already working on deeper reporting features, enhanced integration with our other marketing tools, and more sophisticated visitor behavior analysis.
