Four Major Updates That Make Healthcare Marketing Compliance Easier

Building compliant healthcare marketing is hard enough without having to work around platform limitations. Every week, our team at Ours Privacy works with healthcare agencies and health systems that are trying to balance growth with compliance—and we're constantly looking for ways to make that balance easier to achieve.
This month, we're rolling out four major updates that directly address the pain points we hear most often from healthcare marketing teams. These aren't just feature additions—they're solutions to real problems that make compliance more manageable and marketing more effective.
Here's what's new:
1. Enhanced Compliance Reporting That Actually Works
We've completely rebuilt our compliance reporting system to give you a clear view of exactly what data is being sent where and how it's being modified.
The new Compliance Report isn't just a CSV dump—it's a comprehensive Excel export with:
One sheet per destination showing detailed field mappings
An overview sheet that ties everything together
Clear visibility into what's being sent, what's redacted, and what's hashed

For legal and privacy teams, this means you can finally answer the question "What data are we sending to whom?" without digging through multiple systems.
2. Trade Desk Integration for Advanced Programmatic Advertising
We've launched our integration with The Trade Desk, designed to support HIPAA-aligned programmatic advertising.
This integration allows you to:
Send conversion events securely through our server-to-server connection
Maintain advanced targeting and attribution capabilities
Ensure all data flows through our privacy-compliant infrastructure
Full documentation and setup instructions are available here.
3. Enhanced Consent Tracking with Better Visibility
The Ours Privacy CMP now automatically tracks consent events with much higher fidelity, giving you better insight into how often consent modals are being shown and what the initial consent state is before user interaction.
The new $consent_init
event fires when the CMP first loads, giving you visibility into:
How often the consent modal is being shown
The initial consent state before user interaction
Better reporting on consent patterns and user behavior
This is a quality-of-life improvement that makes consent management more transparent and easier to audit. You can now track the full consent journey from initial load through user interaction, giving you the data you need to optimize your consent flows.
4. Expanded Ad Destination Properties for State Compliance
We've expanded support for limited data use (LDU) and data sharing properties across major ad destinations to help you address state-specific compliance requirements.
Meta, Pinterest, Reddit, and other key platforms now allow you to pipe these properties through when your visitor is in a state that accepts or requires them. This means you can better align with state-specific requirements while still getting the advertising performance you need.
That's it for now. Excited to hear your feedback and keep building!
